The Regionale 1 Football League in Guadeloupe will be coming to end tomorrow, May 30th with a string of matches in hopes of crowning the new 2017/2018 champions.
Le Phare, home club of Dominica’s national captain Glenson Prince will face La Gauloise at 8:30pm in Capesterre. A victory tomorrow will see Le Phare as the new champions as the battle for the title continues. Phare is just (1) point above second place rivals USBM and (2) points above 3rd place CSM. Phare’s final match is expected to be a difficult one as La Gauloise currently seats in the relegation zone, and will surely give their all to avoid relegation. Phare ended their most recent match in a 1all draw to USR and will be looking to improve their performance.
Solidarité Scolaire, home of national players Julian Wade, and Chad Bertrand are also facing a close battle for table position as they sit 7th, tied on points with 6th place Siroco with (58) points who they face tomorrow, in Baie Mahault at 8:30pm, in need of a victory to finish 6th. Solidarité Scolaire registered a 2-1 victory in their most recent match where Wade netted a penalty to put his side even (1-1) after being down 1-0 in the first half against Arsenal who’s also in the relegation zone.
We would like to wish the boys all the best in respective matches tomorrow.
