Alick Athanaze – Man Of The Match

Dominica’s Alick Athanaze helped the West Indies Under 19 cricket team to a 4 wicket win over South Africa today in the 4th ODI played in South Africa.

Athanaze made 66 not out from 80 balls to carry the Windies past the South African total; for his efforts, he was voted as Man of the Match.

Alick was earlier this year recognized by the Ministry of Sports when he received the award for Male Youth Athlete for 2016. Athanaze is a product of the Sports Division’s cricket program that came through the age group system from the cricket coaching caravan to the under 13, under 15, and under 20 schools program. The series is now level 2-2 with one match remaining. (DSD)
