The Dominica Men’s Senior National Football Team kicked off the 5-day Windward Islands Football Tournament with a great start. The tournament which is being held in Grenada started on June 28th, where Dominica played their first match against hosts Grenada which ended in a 1-1 draw. Forward, Julian Wade was the lone scorer for Dominica in that match.
Spirits were lifted further after the boys registered their first win of the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Barbados, at the Fond Playing Field in Grenada yesterday. Julian Wade registered his second goal of the tournament while assisting Kelrick Walters with his first.
The boys are expected to play their third match on Tuesday, July 4th at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium in Grenada, versus St. Lucia at 7:30 pm. The matches can be viewed by visiting the Facebook page of the Grenada Football Association, and on Marpin 2k4 Ltd, and Digicel Play Dominica. We wish the boys all the best in their future matches.
