It’s Back

The District Sports Festivals organized by the Sports Division will continue this weekend with the North Festival and the continuation of the North East Festival.

The North Sports Festival will be held at the Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth today,o Saturday, 21^st and Sunday 22^nd. On Saturday, from 5:00pm, the court events will be held on the Hard Court at Benjamin’s Park whilst on Sunday from 2:00pm, the field events will be held on the main grounds of the Benjamin’s Park.

Communities from the North, ranging from Glanvillia to Cottage and Portsmouth to Paix Bouche, are expected to participate in this festival.

Meanwhile, on Sunday 22^nd, the North East Sports Festival is expected to continue with the court events and shuttle relay at the Hard Court in Weirs, Marigot from 1:00pm. Villagers from communities from Bense to Concord are expected to compete in Netball, Basketball, Volleyball and shuttle relay.

The field events for that district were held at Calibishie on December 18^th 2016. Going into Sunday’s activities, Woodford Hill is in the lead with 12 points followed by Marigot with 10 points

The top village from each district will move on to the Grand Final scheduled to take place on February 5^th at the Benjamin’s Park.
