It’s Back – The Secondary Schools Independence Athletics Meet

After one (1) year absence due to the passage of Tropical Storm Erika, the Sports Division is pleased to announce the return of the Secondary Schools Independence Athletics Meet in 2016. The Meet, which features competition amongst the best student athletes in Dominica, is part of Dominica 38^thAnniversary of Independence.

Fifteen (15) Secondary Schools, including the Dominica State College, will compete over a two-day period at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium. The event begins on October 12^th with an opening ceremony at 9:30 am which will be preceded by a parade of the schools.

Day 2 begins at the 1:30 pm on Friday, October 14^th and is expected to go into the evening under the light. Friday’s activities are expected to be carried live on radio and will be streamed live via the internet. The North East Comprehensive School was the 2014 Champion School.
