Bahamas Are CBC U16 Champs While Dominica Failed To Register A Win

Bahamas CBC Champs

Bahamas maintained their unbeaten streak to become champions of the 2016 (CBC) Caribbean Basketball Confederation Male U16 Championship in Guyana after defeating hosts Guyana 84 – 57 in the final last night.

The Dominica National U16 Basketball Team played their hearts out but unfortunately Dominica could not register a single win in this tournament finishing 10th after losing their final match to Trinidad & Tobago 43 – 65. That was the first win for the boys of Trinidad & Tobago allowing them to finish 9th.

We would like to commend all the players and staff who represented Dominica at the (CBC) Caribbean Basketball Confederation Male U16 Championships in Guyana. This result shows that there’s a lot of room for improvement and we’re sure that the Dominica Basketball Association will continue to work with the youth in Dominica to improve our performance at future tournaments. Things can only get better from here.
