Dominica Lost 2-1 to Jamaica As Lander Scored First International Goal

Dominica vs Jamaica Football

Yesterday the Dominica Men’s U-20 National Football Team lost 2-1 to Jamaica in their opening match of the CFU Men’s U-20 Qualifiers in the Dominican Republic.

This loss came after having a (1) one goal advantage early in the first half scored by foreign based striker Zion Lander in his first international appearance. Our boys went on to later concede (2) two goals giving Jamaica a (1) one goal lead.

We are still very confident that our boys will bounce back from that loss to defeat host country Dominican Republic in their next match on Friday, June 17th at 4pm.

In more news, the Dominica Women’s Senior National Football Team also lost their opening match 3-0 yesterday to rivals St. Vincent at the Windsor Park Stadium in Roseau, Dominica. Our women will face Martinique in their next match on Sunday, June 19th at 6pm in the Windward Islands Women’s Football Tournament presented by the Dominica Football Association.
