The Dominica Men’s Senior National Football Team lost 4-0 to Martinique last night after being down 1-0 at half time. This loss will put an end to their run in the Scotiabank Caribbean Cup since the boys lost both games.
According to Julian “Juju” Wade who scored the lone goal for Dominica in their match against Guadeloupe, “the first 45 minutes of that game against Martinique was brilliant despite conceding a goal. The crowd was really impressed and supportive as we knocked the ball around”. Defensive midfielder Briel “Babel” Thomas got an early injury and Wade said that was a big blow for the team.
We are also aware that Head Coach for the Dominica National Team, Shane Marshall has resigned following the teams defeat against Martinique.
Earlier this month in an interview with CBN4 News, Head Coach Shane Marshall felt that there was not enough preparation leading up to those matches but despite that the team was very confident. Below is a link to the video of his interview with CBN4 News.
