The Dominica Men’s Senior National Football Team are looking to boost their chances of topping group 2 in the 2nd round of the CFU Scotiabank Men’s Caribbean Cup as they take on french islands Guadeloupe and Martinique.
Three of our foreign based players; Julian Wade, Briel Thomas and Anfernee Frederick have already returned to strengthen the team. Power houses Euclid Bertrand, Malcolm Joseph and Glenson Prince will also be present for those games. Two new players, Hanif Gregoire and Ajaya Roya have been added to an (18) eighteen man squad selected by the technical staff of the Dominica Football Association together with Glenworth Alizee who’s making his return to the team. The other players include: Raleighson Pascal, Hubert Prince, Andrez Joseph, Gylles Mitchel, Eustace Marshall, Errol Blaize, Sidney Lockhart, Travis Joseph, Kelrick Walters. The team will captained by goal keeper Glenson Prince with defender Malcom Joseph as vice captain.
The coaching staff reads, Shane Marshall – head coach, Ellington Sabin – assistant coach, Keith Prosper – fitness trainer, Courtney Challenger – goalkeeper coach, Albert Noel – medical personnel and Michael Joseph – manager. The team will leave island on Thursday, 2nd June to take on Guadeloupe in their first match on Saturday, 4th June. They will then return on Sunday, 6th June, to face Martinique in their second match on Tuesday 7th June at the Windsor Park Stadium in Roseau. We with our boys all the best.
