The 2016 Secondary Schools U-15 Cricket Championship bowled-off on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Botanic Gardens with the traditional ball-o-rama.
Prior to the ball-o-rama, an opening ceremony was held at 9:30 am where officials at the Ministry of Sports and the sponsors, amongst other special invited guests, addressed the players.
This year, the First Domestic Insurance Company is the official sponsor of the Secondary Schools U-15 Cricket Championship with a sponsorship package of EC $10, 000.00.
This marked the first sponsorship for the Secondary Schools U-15 Cricket Championship which is the breeding grounds for representatives to the Dominica U-15 and U-19 national teams.
Eight (8) secondary schools will be participating in this year’s championship and will be placed into two (2) zones. Isaiah Thomas Secondary School are the defending champions.
