Another Win For The St. John’s Primary School

The St. John’s Primary School has captured the final spot for the semi-finals of the Sports Division’s 2016 NBD Primary Schools Boys Football Championship.

This they did when they won against the Pioneer Preparatory School in the last quarter final match which was played in Portsmouth on Thursday, March 17, 2016.

St. John’s Primary School won the match – 4:0. Scoring for St. John’s were:

– Kadimel Paul – 3 goals
– Jadel Cornelius – 1 goal

The semi-finals and the Final will take place at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium on Tuesday, March 22nd from 1:00 pm.

Officials of the Ministry of Sports and the National Bank of Dominica are expected to meet the teams prior to matches. The first match will be St. John’s Primary School vs. Grand Fond Primary School followed by the match Woodford Hill Primary School vs. St. Mary’s Primary School. These semi-finals matches will be followed by a match to determine the 3rd and 4th placed teams which will then be followed by the grand Final between the two winners of the semi-finals matches.

Last year, the St. Luke’s Primary won the Boy’s Segment of the competition.

The first round of the Girls Segment of the Sports Division’s NBD Primary Schools Football Championships is expected to take place on April 12th & 13th whilst the District Competition will begin on April 15th.
