Dominica will take part in the ECVA beach volleyball Continental cup hosted by Antigua. Dominica will be represented with two male teams and two female teams all being National senior court players. The males will be competing from April 22 – 27, 2015 while the females will be competing from April 29 – May 4, 2015.
Kerwin George and Lincoln Riviere are local beach champions under the alias of “Divers” and will be paired once more for this tournament .. The second male team will feature youth beach volleyball star and senior National rookie, Yahn Florent, he plays alongside Deon Vidal.
The Female teams comprise of Anna Maria Xavier and Catherine Francis while Zaidu Henry and Marcia Gustave will play together.
The male team leaves island later today while the female team will leave a week from today. The teams have been training together at Mero beach for over three months directed by Ray Robinson and later Brazillian instructor João Carlos Campos, “Café”. The players are very confident going into this tournament and hopes to put their best forward!
