13 & Under Regional Invitational Netball Festival

The Sports Division in the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture and Constituency Empowerment hosted the 8th Annual 13 & Under Regional Invitational Netball Festival from Sunday 14th to 18th 2016.

This year Anguilla and St. Lucia joined the Dominica National Under 13 and the Dominica B team in the festival which was staged at the Benjamin’s Park hard court in Portsmouth. Mr. Trevor Shillingford, Sports Coordinator in the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture & Constituency addressed the opening ceremony together with His Worship the Mayor of Portsmouth, Titus Francis and the Parliamentary Representative for Portsmouth, Honourable Ian Douglas. The (24) twenty players who represented were:

Dominica National Team (A) – Jarnille Phillip, Yakima Tavinier, Etheline Telemacque, Kimisha Jno. Baptiste, Ataliah Benjamin, Jocia Wallace, Rohena Paul, Serena George, Jernella Lewis, Serita Paul, Rosaline Paul, La Laine Daniel.

Dominica B – Cherez George, Tamisha Roberts, Adicia Burton, Juanita Henry, Unique, Powell, Jemuna Francios, Bazinnie Nyaaba, Zorah Maria Xavier, Owanna St. Jean, Treneese Hamilton, Mia Sylvester, Adeola Xavier.

The Dominica National Team were winners of this tournament and at the closing ceremony certain players and teams were acknowledged for their hard work.
