Yesterday the Armory Track held a press conference for the upcoming Armory Track Invitational at the Park Central Hotel in midtown Manhattan.
The Armory Track Invitational which is scheduled to run from February 3rd to 4th at the Armory’s New Balance Track and Field Center is a highly anticipated event which will feature quite a number of high profile athletes. From Olympian Luan Gabriel (Current student at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore) who represented Dominica at the 2012 Rio Olympics to Olympic Bronze Medalist in the 2012 Rio Olympics, Lalonde Gordon of Trinidad and Tobago. There will also be performances from Jamaican, BVI and Guyanese athletes.
Luan in her most recent 200m and 400m events finished with times of 25.28s and 57.87s respectively and was fortunate enough to capture 3 gold medals at her season opener in December of 2016 with times of 26.03s in the 200m, 59.57s in the 400m. She’s been having a very successful season and we wish her all the best in her upcoming events.
